Are you a massage therapist that is looking for ways to get massage clients? You aren’t alone. This is the biggest issue when it comes to massage therapists owning their own business. I was there once too and I know exactly how that feels. It’s scary and it sucks!
One of the things I get asked the most is “Ann, what was the one thing you did that helped you get more massage clients and become successful?” But here’s the thing, there really is no one thing that I did to create success in my business. It was a number of different things all combined into one that brought more clients my way and ultimately led me to make a full time income without relying on another job.
In today’s video I’m sharing with you the top 3 things I did that I know, without a shadow of a doubt brought me success.
#1: I established My target market
I decided on the types of people I was going to work with in my business and I targeted my marketing to those types of people. Prior to that I had been generically marketing myself as a massage therapist. That’s the worst thing we can do as massage therapists. When you try and market to everyone you end up marketing to no one. Choose the the type of clients you want to work with and market to them specifically.
#2 I created a website marketing to my target market
Once I established who I wanted to work with, I built out a content rich website highlighting the benefits of my massages in regards to this type of client. It set me apart as an authority in my community and gave me presence online. When clients dealing with the specific types of problems I solved landed on my website, they found me!
#3 I got very serious about being a business owner & entrepreneur
Let’s face it, when you are your own boss, it’s up to you to do everything. It all falls on your shoulders. If you want to be successful you have to dive head first into your business. You must learn everything you can about business, entrepreneurship & mindset success. You have to be the boss!
I’d love to hear from you! What things have you done to create success in your massage business or what areas you are still struggling with. Leave a comment below.
And please, share this with your fellow massage therapists. Let’s all help each other build more successful businesses.
All my love,
