Empowerment, Taking Baby Steps

It’s human nature to want things to happen overnight.  Once you get that excitement inside of you and the desire for something, you want it NOW NOW NOW!  We’ve all been there.  Unfortunately, if you expect success overnight you will end up getting discouraged, frustrated and worst case scenario, quitting.

Creating a massage business the right way involves implementing things into your daily and weekly routines.  You must follow a laid out plan for yourself to stay on track.  Here is a short list of a few things I recommend when taking baby steps towards your successful massage therapy business.

  • set weekly/monthly goals
  • create a business plan for yourself
  • set a time line for yourself for where you want to be by a certain date
  • find your motivation for why you want success and focus on that every day
  • create a vision board with inspiring quotes, goals and photos that keep your mind focused on the “prize”
  • congratulate yourself each time you attract a new client
  • remember that success can only come one step at a time

The most important thing to always remember when creating a massage business the right way, is that you can do this!  You will get discouraged, you will get frustrated, you will feel at times that your work isn’t paying off.  Please don’t let these “normal feelings” stop you from pushing forward.  All successful people have one thing in common, they each have felt like quitting at one time or another.  Had they quit they would never be where they are, myself included.

Always remember that YOU ARE worthy of making your dreams come true, whatever they may be.  If creating your own successful massage business is a dream of yours, GO FOR IT!  I know you can do it.

Wishing all the success in the world,

Ann Ross

Ann I want thank you so much for the encouraging words. And I just actually was able to get these encouraging today, March 30. Today I really need it, because I have had those thoughts of quieting. I find it so hard to really set down and lay out a plan rather daily, weekly or whatever. To be honest I don’t know how or know where to being.
I feel like I need someone there to help to do the planning along with me.

    Thanks Again,
    Ann Ross

    Hey Ann,

I just wanted to say your website is amazing. I have been in massage for only one year and this year has had its ups and downs. Working around my full time schedule to massage has been the hardest but I must say your words of encouragement have gone a long way. Any suggestions on how I can speed up my ability to attract clients so i can finally massage full time?

    Thanks Abe

    Hi Abe,

Thank you so much! It’s great to have you here :) I understand how hard it can be when you’re working a job and trying to build a business on the side. I did the same thing for a couple of years.

Have you checked out my free training yet? It will help give you a clear understanding of where to go if you feel stuck. Once you figure out your niche or specialty in the field of massage therapy I would start getting to know other businesses in your community and create joint ventures with them. This is one of the fastest ways to build a business. When you have businesses referring people to you, you will notice a huge increase in your clientele. Once things start rolling look to your clients for referrals. Before you know it your schedule will be busy.

Keep following my blog because more training is yet to come!

    Thanks!
    Ann
